Surrounded by two beaches of unique natural beauty Plaka and Papa-Nero, Saint Ioannis is a pole of attraction for thousands of visitors. At the village you will find many hotels, restaurants and bars along the coastal road. Access to the area is from the city of Volos, passing through the picturesque villages of Pelion, such as Portaria, Chania and Tsagarada.
The famous mountain of Pelion has many areas on its slopes. A short distance from Agios Ioannis you will find yourself in Horefto, with the famous Parisaina beach, in Milies for a walk in the alleys, in Makrinitsa for a walk on the path of the Centaurs, in Zagora for a dessert and in Tsagarada for a walk around the plane tree 1000 years old.

Saint Ioannis is built on a unique beach with white pebbles. Emerald waters and Pelion roofs are lost in the deep green of the slope and complete the charming landscape. It is located in eastern Pelion and in just a few minutes you can be in Horefto, Mylopotamos, Tsagarada and other famous parts of Pelion.
Magnificent is the sunrise that emerges from the sea with a composition of pink shades. You will find crystal clear sandy beaches with golden sand, blue Aegean waters and all around the green mountain. Papa Nero beach with its picturesque bridge and Eden beach with white pebbles are some of the landscapes you will encounter in the village.
Food and amusement
Greek gastronomy could not be missing in one of the most famous destinations of eastern Pelion. In St John there are options for everyone. Traditional taverns serving ouzo, tsipouro, appetizers and classic Greek dishes, such as pastitsio, stuffed and salads. In the area you will find Italian restaurants, if you have an appetite for pizza or pasta, but also creperie, kebab shops and fish taverns, for fresh fish and octopus by the sea. In the evening, taking a walk along the coast, you will find some bars, such as Paralos with live music and cocktails. It is worth walking in the village from the main road, where on your left you will find all the restaurants and taverns and shops with tourist items and gifts.
